A community school in all respects, this facility features spaces dedicated for use by citizens of the district, including easy access to both large and small group areas. The school’s strong visual presentation, enhanced by the use of elemental construction materials, allows it to fit comfortably into its urban residential setting. Six “Fat L” classrooms cluster around a shared commons in a typical “neighborhood”. Retractable doors between classrooms allow sharing of activities and the commons provide an extension of the classroom teaching area.
