Continuous Cost Control

To integrate cost control with all elements of a project, Erickson McGovern has created a spreadsheet called “School Trax.” School Trax combines preliminary cost estimates, Washington State Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) funding availability, and soft costs. This spreadsheet allows us to work with school districts to determine total project costs and estimate future project costs associated with district planning.

We consistently stay current with the regulations and guidelines for educational facilities mandated by OSPI. Elements from OSPI D-Forms are linked to budgets, schedules and feasibility. The fact that 95% of our work is in school design is an advantage when progressing through the milestones in the D-Form process. It is crucial to have a thorough understanding of these elements to have a successful state-funded project.
